Chip Muller

Chip Muller is a seasoned trial lawyer with decades of experience and particularly deep work in employment law, corporate law, intellectual property, and jury trials. He represents employees in workplace disputes and brings a track record of taking cases to verdict.

Chip has served as lead attorney in numerous jury trials with great success, and in 2025 he was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation-only organization of experienced trial lawyers. Beyond his own first-chair work, Chip is regularly engaged to assist other attorneys in jury trials, including a criminal trial that was, at the time, the longest in Rhode Island history. His work has produced landmark decisions from courts across the region, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Rhode Island Supreme Court.

For several years, Chip chaired the Labor and Employment Committee of the Rhode Island Bar Association, and he has been a proud member of the National Employment Lawyers Association since 2006. He regularly teaches other attorneys about trial techniques, litigation, and employment law, and has served on countless panels across the country.

From 2009 to 2026, Chip was the founding and managing partner of Muller Law, LLC. In law school, he was selected for the Broun Trial Team and competed in trial competitions nationwide, and he served as Article and Notes Editor for the First Amendment Law Review, the world’s only law review dedicated to the First Amendment.

Before becoming a lawyer, Chip spent many years as a television news journalist and documentary director. He earned a regional Emmy Award for Best Documentary for his fearless film, North Carolina’s Dependence on Tobacco.

Most importantly, Chip is the proud father of three boys. In his free time, he enjoys being with his sons, playing soccer, dining and socializing with friends, wilderness adventures, exploring the region’s waterways and beaches, and skiing.

Chip is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
