Danilo A. Borgas is an associate attorney at Sinapi Law Associates, Ltd. and has been a part of our team since May of 2013. His primary areas of practice are employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, leave acts, unemployment benefits, severances, minimum wage, overtime, and misclassification claims, as well as business/corporate law, contract law, and personal injury. Additionally, Danilo provides business/employer consultations and legal advice on all aspects of employment law, including the drafting and implementation of legally compliant employee policies and procedures. The scope of his legal experience includes civil rights law, bankruptcy law, consumer protection law, products liability, personal injury, and family law.
Danilo graduated from Johnson and Wales University in 2011 with a B.S. in Paralegal Studies, Magna Cum Laude. Afterwards, he attended Roger Williams University School of Law on a full academic/leadership scholarship, where he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2014. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the banking industry for close to seven years where he primarily represented the bank and its customers in debit card dispute resolution/pre-arbitration and performed quality control and training as a Quality Analyst.
Danilo is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association, and American Association of Justice.
